Merchant of Record & Checkout

All online orders, payment processing, global VAT / GST / sales tax calculation and remittance, billing support, and digital order receipts for C.A.R.P. Labs products are processed by Lemon Squeezy (Lemon Squeezy, LLC), our authorized Merchant of Record, via https://carplabs.lemonsqueezy.com.

When you purchase or download software through our storefront, your checkout transaction is completed with Lemon Squeezy under Lemon Squeezy's Buyer Terms, while your license to install and use the software is granted by C.A.R.P. Labs under the End-User License Agreement below. Digital Windows installers and license keys are delivered immediately upon order confirmation.

End-User License Agreement (EULA)

By installing, activating, or using C.A.R.P. Labs desktop audio software, you agree to the applicable license terms below:

TRACE (MODEL TR-01) & DE-COMP (MODEL DC-02) — Commercial Perpetual Licenses

• Grant of License: Subject to valid purchase and payment, C.A.R.P. Labs grants you a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for personal and commercial audio production on up to 3 personal computers owned or operated directly by you (the licensee) for each licensed product.
• Studio Portability & Updates: Your license includes self-service machine deactivation when upgrading or replacing studio computers, offline .lic rescue file support for air-gapped studio workstations, and free v1.x updates across the entire version 1 release cycle.
• Prohibited Uses: You may not redistribute paid installers, share or publish license keys, rent, lease, sublicense, resell your license without authorization, tamper with activation checks, or reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software binaries (except where expressly permitted by mandatory applicable law).

VEIL (MODEL VL-00) — Perpetual Freeware License

• Grant of License: C.A.R.P. Labs grants you a perpetual $0 freeware license to install and use VEIL on your computers for both personal and commercial audio production—completely royalty-free across unlimited recordings, mixes, streams, games, and broadcasts.
• Prohibited Uses: You may not sell, rent, charge fees for, or bundle VEIL inside paid distributions, redistribute modified binaries, remove attribution plates, or reverse engineer the software.

ALL C.A.R.P. LABS SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. ALWAYS MAINTAIN BACKUPS OF YOUR STUDIO PROJECTS AND MONITOR AT SAFE LISTENING LEVELS.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL C.A.R.P. LABS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, STUDIO DOWNTIME, OR LOST PROFITS) ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE, AND TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT ACTUALLY PAID BY YOU FOR THE APPLICABLE SOFTWARE LICENSE.

14-Day Free Trial & Refund Policy

Evaluate Before You Buy: Both TRACE and DE-COMP provide dedicated 14-Day Free Trial installers requiring no credit card, no account registration, and no iLok. We strongly encourage testing each instrument in your own DAW, audio interface setup, and vocal projects before purchasing. Because each 14-Day Trial installer and Full Licensed installer share identical VST3 and CLAP plugin IDs, every DAW session and parameter setting saved during your trial opens seamlessly once the full version is installed.

14-Day Refund Window: We offer a 14-day refund window from the date of purchase if:

• Your delivered license key has not yet been activated on any computer; or
• You encounter a verified technical incompatibility on a supported 64-bit Windows 10 or Windows 11 system that cannot be resolved within a reasonable timeframe.

Because activated licenses store a permanent local offline token on your machine and a no-card 14-day trial is freely available beforehand, routine change-of-mind refunds after license activation are not guaranteed (without prejudice to any mandatory statutory consumer rights in your jurisdiction). Approved refunds are issued back to your original payment method via Lemon Squeezy, and the corresponding license key is deactivated upon refund completion.

Privacy Policy

• Desktop Plugins — Zero Spyware & Zero Audio Upload: C.A.R.P. Labs plugins (TRACE, DE-COMP, and VEIL) contain zero spyware, zero usage analytics, zero background tracking daemons, and never record, inspect, or upload your audio, vocal recordings, or DAW project files. VEIL and the 14-Day Trial editions of TRACE and DE-COMP make zero network requests during studio use.
• Website — Zero Ad Trackers: This website hosts static HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and image files with zero third-party advertising trackers, zero tracking pixels, and zero behavioral profiling cookies. Standard transient edge-server access logs (IP address and requested file path for delivery and abuse prevention) are handled by our static CDN host.
• Checkout & Billing Data: Order fulfillment, tax compliance, customer email receipts, and payment credentials are collected and processed directly by Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record under Lemon Squeezy's Privacy Policy. C.A.R.P. Labs never receives or stores your raw payment card details.
• License Activation (TRACE & DE-COMP Full Licensed Editions): When you activate the Full Licensed Edition of TRACE or DE-COMP, the plugin performs a one-time HTTPS activation call to Lemon Squeezy's License API transmitting only your license key, computer label, and a non-invasive hashed machine identifier. Upon validation, the plugin caches an offline activation token locally in %APPDATA%\CARP_Labs\TRACE\ or %APPDATA%\CARP_Labs\DECOMP\ and runs 100% offline thereafter without periodic check-ins.
